As a speech-language pathologist, I have worked with many students who needed more oral stimulation throughout the day. They often found by chewing on their hands, their collar, their hair, their sleeves they were able to focus better or it calmed their needs. However, this can ruin many collars, shirts and sleeves. My sensory jewelry provides a perfect alternative to the collar and looks nice too. It is the same texture and feeling as the collar or sleeve. The necklaces are available in many sizes and are measured from the back of the neck to the center knot. For example, a sized "small" necklace would be approximately 10" from the back of the neck to the center knot. The necklaces are closed unless Velcro is requested. Both options are available.
XS is approximately 8" from back of neck to the center knot.
S is approximately 10" from back of neck to the center knot.
M is approximately 12" from back of neck to the center knot.
L is approximately 14-15" from back of neck to the center knot.
XL is approximately 16-18" from back of neck to the center knot.
Necklaces and bracelets are available in 1, 2, or 3 different colors combinations or by special order a special 4 or 5 color weave can be done.
Bracelets are available in closed rings with multiple knots or in tie-on. Each are approximately 6 inches in circumference. Special orders are always welcome.
Looking for additional resistance or design? We have many options available. Add more knots, add natural wood elements, add silicone tubing or silicone beads. These give the smooth texture that other chewies might offer but with the "collar" or "sleeve" feel as the main item. You can even add crocheted items that give both the texture variance but also a squish oral sensation like a pillow. All these choices add a diversity to the daily sensory needs of your child or you.
